Moths!!!

Exciting News!

This week we discovered that we now have some moths inside our container!

Here are Harry's observations:

'Eight of our pupae have metamorphosed into moths. They are now adults. They have pushed their way out of the chrysalis. They now have wings. On their orangish wings they have eyes that are for camouflage. They have a furry body. Their six legs have grown more.'

These are Anna's observations:

'Eight of the pupae have metamorphosed into moths. They have a furry white body and tan and white wings. On their wings they have eyes on their wings for camouflage. They have six long legs and two antennae. A moth is an adult.'

Ewan observed:

'Eight of our pupae have turned into moths. They are just learning to fly. They are skinnish-brown colour. They also have green eyes on the side of their head. They have eyes on their wings for camouflage.'
