As we enter Week 6, I am excited to reflect on the learning that has taken place in Year 2 this year. I am encouraged by the students willingness to experiment and challenge themselves. This has been evident in the last couple of writers workshops. Many of the students published their imaginative writing and factual expositions last week as individual blog posts. If you haven't taken the time to read and comment on these please do. The students are encouraged by quality feedback and each time they receive this they become more willing to write for an authentic audience.
This week in Literacy we are continuing to reflect on the sustainability aspects of Nim's Island which links to HSIE - the layers of the rainforest and other wet environments such as the Ocean. In Science students will experiment more with water and look at the conservation and use of this precious resource. During Mathematics this week our focus is 3D space and Volume experiments.
This weeks homework is attached. I hope you have a blessed and productive week.
